Snippets of Conversations heard during New Year's Weekend 2005
With a friend discussing his relationship with a guy he's been dating for 5 months:
"I did the worst thing I could possibly do."
"Did you cheat on him?" I ask.
"No, even worse."
[pause]
"I told him I love him."
"Wooh."
"I know! And now we're on the verge of breaking up."

"Do you really love him?"
"Yes I do. But I said it in the most awkward of circumstances."
"Where? How?"
"...in the middle of the dancefloor."
"That's unusual."
"It just felt right, you know?...and that I took E that night."

Phone conversation with good friend, Scuba:
"I ran into this guy at [unnamed club]. Went home with him. We fucked all night. We didn't get out of bed until past 5pm. It was great!"
"But?" asks Scuba.
"But I want more. Let's go barhopping tonight!"

With my bestfriend, Sunshine Girl:
"You partied in Montreal for New Year's and came back with a boyfriend?" I say in shock.
"Yes, it's official. We're an item. I'm going back there again this weekend."
"Wow. I'm happy for you."
"Yes, we're already planning a vacation together to Mexico in February. In the meantime, I'm flying to Montreal every weekend."
"Geez, I didn't think a straight girl would be worse than gay men!"
